Job summary

One21 Recruitment is assisting a Tauranga-based construction company to hire a Finance & Business Systems Manager. The role covers finance, payroll, administration and business systems, with scope to influence operations and drive efficiency.

You will work with Microsoft 365, Xero for accounts and payroll, and Simpro or similar job-management software. The position requires a hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to grow with the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Xero for accounts and payroll.
• Familiar with Simpro or similar job-management software.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems.
• Commercially minded, organized and proactive.
• Able to juggle priorities and work independently.
• Willing to grow with the company; construction or trades experience is a bonus.
• Available to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance, payroll, administration and business systems for a busy construction company.
• Improve processes and drive efficiency across the finance function.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep systems aligned.
• Help manage projects and job costing where relevant.

Our client is growing - fast! And they're looking for an experienced accounts, payroll and business support whizz who wants to become a key part of the team for the long haul.

This role is much more than just processing accounts and ticking boxes. You'll take ownership of the finance, payroll, administration and business systems that keep a busy construction company running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced with Microsoft 365, Xero for accounts, Xero for Payroll
• Familiar with Simpro or similar job-management software
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
• Commercially switched-on, organised and proactive
• Confident juggling priorities and working independently
• Always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of doing things
• Keen to grow with the company and make the role their own
• Construction or trades industry experience would be a definite bonus.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
