Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a Finance Business Partner to work with senior leaders to influence commercial outcomes, unlock value, and support decisions that have a real impact across the business. You will apply your commercial and analytical skills to deliver forecasts, insights, and sound financial governance in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has at least six years of commercial experience, strong stakeholder influence, and CPA/CA membership is preferred.

How you'll make an impact

• Partner with business leaders to improve profitability and business performance.
• Provide trusted commercial advice, financial insights, and analysis that enable informed, strategic decision making.
• Deliver accurate quarterly forecasts, planning, and reporting that support business performance and financial governance.
• Identify and track profitability opportunities and initiatives, helping leaders achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Coach and support managers to build financial capability and confidence in decision making.
• Develop strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders to ensure sound commercial practices and compliance.
• Contribute to strategic Finance projects while championing the Finance strategy across your portfolio.

Our ideal candidate:

• At least six years of commercial and analytical experience in a complex organisation.
• A proven ability to influence outcomes and deliver strong commercial results.
• Strong relationship building skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgement when navigating complex business challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
• A relevant university degree.
• Chartered Accountant membership with a recognised professional body is preferred.
• Experience working in fast paced environments where priorities can change quickly.
