Job summary

Fully Equipped is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to own the full finance function, working closely with the CEO/GM. The role combines strategic finance with hands-on delivery across forecasting, cashflow, payroll and governance to guide decision-making and drive performance.

You’ll partner with sales, operations and supply chain to provide practical insights and support a path to growth, profitability and improved processes within a growing New Zealand SME.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Senior Accountant or similar.
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting capability.
• Sound knowledge of accounting operations, payroll and compliance.
• The ability to translate numbers into practical business recommendations.
• Experience working within a growing SME, manufacturing, distribution or operational environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
• A continuous improvement mindset with strong systems capability.

Responsibilities

• Leading monthly financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning.
• Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, payroll and financial controls.
• Delivering commercial insights that support business decisions.
• Managing audit, tax, compliance and governance requirements.
• Supporting pricing, investment and business improvement initiatives.
• Coordinating travel, administration and external IT providers.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and performance.
