Job summary

Fully Equipped is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to own the full finance function, working closely with the CEO/GM. The role combines strategic finance with hands-on delivery across forecasting, cashflow, payroll and governance to guide decision-making and drive performance.

You’ll partner with sales, operations and supply chain to provide practical insights and support a path to growth, profitability and improved processes within a growing New Zealand SME.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Senior Accountant or similar.
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting capability.
• Sound knowledge of accounting operations, payroll and compliance.
• The ability to translate numbers into practical business recommendations.
• Experience working within a growing SME, manufacturing, distribution or operational environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
• A continuous improvement mindset with strong systems capability.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO/General Manager, you'll take ownership of the full finance function while overseeing several key administrative areas that keep the business running smoothly.

From cashflow, forecasting and financial reporting through to payroll, compliance, business planning and continuous improvement, you'll be at the centre of decision-making. You'll work closely with leaders across sales, operations and supply chain, providing practical advice and meaningful insights that help shape the future of the business.

This role offers a great mix of strategic involvement and hands‑on delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while still having a seat at the table.
