Job summary

Halter seeks a Field Specialist in New Zealand to maintain on-farm hardware infrastructure, ensure systems run reliably, resolve issues quickly, and improve performance across our customer network.

This Tasman/Marlborough-based role requires regular NZ travel. You will deploy new equipment, diagnose problems, and work with hardware, product, and customer success teams to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must!
• Go-getter attitude with a willingness to tackle challenges head-on and figure things out on the go.
• Handiness and resourcefulness to handle a wide range of tasks even without specific technical training.
• Strong time management to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
• Hardware diagnosis and feedback to the relevant teams.
• Deployments support and on-site installations as needed.
• On-call participation for tower-related incidents and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Halter teams across locations to align on outcomes.
• Address technical challenges promptly with minimal disruption to farm operations.
• Adapt to multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Collect and analyse data from hardware to optimise processes and inform decisions.
• Travel within the South Island region and broader NZ travel as required.
