Job summary

Halter is seeking a Field Specialist in New Zealand to support on-farm hardware infrastructure, maintenance, and deployment. You’ll diagnose issues, upgrade systems, and ensure reliable operation across our customer network, with regular NZ travel and 3-4 days on the road per week.

In this hands-on role you’ll collaborate with hardware, product, and customer success teams, install new equipment, and help refine maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure maintenance: oversee upkeep and repair of Halter’s on-farm infrastructure.
• Hardware diagnosis: identify issues and feed back to the relevant team.
• Versatility: switch between repairing, upgrading, and deploying equipment as needed.
• Deployment support: provide on-site help during farm deployments and installations.
• On-call: participate in the global on-call roster for tower-related incidents.
• Collaboration: work with hardware, product, and customer success teams.
• Problem solving: resolve technical challenges promptly with minimal disruption.
• Adaptability: manage multiple tasks to meet dynamic role needs.
• Data analysis: collect and interpret hardware data to improve operations.
• Travel: travel within North Island and NZ-wide as required.
