Job summary

Real Steel is seeking a Sales Representative to develop and maintain strong customer relationships across the Upper and Mid South Island, Christchurch-based. You will identify new opportunities and deliver sales performance for a diverse range of industries including quarry, civil construction, manufacturing and general engineering.

In this field-based role, you’ll plan regular customer visits, prepare quotations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate quoting and on-time job

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years proven B2B sales experience.
• Experience in industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or technical sales environments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A practical and technical mindset to understand customer requirements.
• Good organisation and time-management skills across a geographically dispersed sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Managing and growing an allocated sales territory to achieve sales targets.
• Retaining and developing existing customer relationships while pursuing new business.
• Planning and maintaining regular customer visits and call activity.
• Preparing quotations and presenting Real Steel’s products and services.
• Building strong internal relationships to support accurate quoting and job delivery.
• Representing Real Steel professionally in the market and at industry events.
