Job summary

Rentokil Initial in New Zealand is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our field team and be the first line of defence against pests, delivering expert advice and proactive service.

This home-based role covers Masterton and surrounding areas, requires a full NZ driving licence, strong customer service, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Training provided; career progression with a global company.

Qualifications

• Full-time, permanent work rights in NZ.
• Full, clean driver’s licence and a clean criminal record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit with a strong focus on health and safety.
• Comfortable and able to work outdoors in various environmental conditions.
• Self-motivated with great time management.
• High attention to detail and pride in high standards.
• Confident using mobile apps and technology.
• Flexible to travel and stay away overnight if needed.
• Pest control regulations and methods experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site inspections to identify pest activity and determine treatment plans.
• Apply pest control solutions and advise customers on prevention/management.
• Identify hygiene/environmental risks to create safer, healthier spaces.
• Accurately complete digital service reports post-visit.
• Deliver outstanding, professional customer service.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional value-adding services.
