Job summary

Rentokil Rural & Environmental Services seeks a resilient field technician for hands-on pest and plant control across New Zealand's landscapes. You will travel from Timaru, stay away during the work week, and contribute to biodiversity protection with hard work and teamwork.

The role is full-time and outdoors, requiring physical fitness, a safety-first approach, and a willingness to live away from home during the week. Accommodation and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to carry heavy loads over rugged terrain.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Must hold a full or restricted NZ driver’s licence and be able to drive off-road vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on plant pest control across New Zealand's landscapes.
• Support restoration projects and track maintenance.
• Work away from home Mon–Fri with accommodation and meals provided.
