Job summary

Manaaki Marine Ltd. in Auckland is seeking an experienced diesel technician to service, diagnose and repair marine diesel engines, generators and related systems on both recreational and commercial vessels.

You will manage your own jobs, communicate with customers professionally, and record time, parts and technical notes. A NZ driver licence and unrestricted right to work in NZ are required. Training and a company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Practical experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing diesel engines.
• Strong mechanical reasoning and fault finding.
• Capable of working independently and seeing jobs through to completion.
• Clear customer communication and thorough documentation.
• Full NZ driver licence and right to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair diesel engines to manufacturer standards.
• Support engine installations, commissioning and major rebuilds.
• Trace faults across fuel, cooling, exhaust, control and driveline systems.
• Manage jobs with updates, parts and records.
• Protect vessels and worksites while delivering professional service.
