Job summary

Motion Conveyance Solutions is seeking a hands-on mechanical site services technician to work across New Zealand industries, with opportunities for career development and progression. The role involves belt production, installation, joining, and on-site service, using standard equipment and tools.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to travel and work after hours. A valid driver’s license and good customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent mechanical aptitude and safety-aware approach.
• Reliable, team player attitude with willingness to travel for service work.
• Able to work after-hours shifts and callouts; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Production of conveyor belts and general fabrication.
• Installation of conveyor belts (lightweight & heavyweight).
• Joining belts by hot vulcanizing, cold bonding, and fastener methods.
• Rubber lining and fabrication of rubber.
• Repair and on-site service of conveyor belts.
• Quality control of manufactured product.
• Accurate measuring and cutting of belts and hoses.
• Check inwards goods and dispatch of goods.
• Regular use of equipment such as vulcanizing press, HF welder, and belt machines.
