Job summary

Fluid Recruitment is recruiting a Family Lawyer for a busy CBD practice in Auckland. The role focuses exclusively on family law, with opportunities in Care of Children, Family Violence and Oranga Tamariki matters.

PQE of 1+ years is required, with preference for candidates who have worked in family law litigation or as a Family Court Registrar. Join a supportive team handling a mix of court appearances, negotiations and advisory work across Auckland courts.

Family Lawyer - 1+ PQE

I am seeking a motivated family lawyer to join a well-respected firm in the CBD, working exclusively in family law.

About the Role

This role involves a broad range of family law matters, with a strong focus on Care of Children, Family Violence, and Oranga Tamariki proceedings. The successful candidate will be working in a busy and supportive litigation environment.

About You

You will have at least 1-year post-qualification experience (PQE), which may include:

• PQE gained exclusively in family law, or

• Experience as a Family Court Registrar, or

• A combined total of approximately 1 year as a lawyer and/or registrar.

You must have relevant experience in:

• Care of Children proceedings

• Family Violence proceedings

• Oranga Tamariki matters

Experience in Relationship Property and Maintenance matters is advantageous but not essential.

As our practice does not currently undertake civil work, candidates whose experience is predominantly in trusts, property, commercial, or conveyancing are less likely to be suited to this role.

• Start date: Flexible for the right candidate (no earlier than mid-April)
