Job summary

Victoria University of Wellington seeks an experienced Mata Awhinuku - Faculty Operations Manager to lead operational and financial management for the FHSS faculty. Reporting directly to the Dean, you will shape the faculty’s budget, manage performance, and advance strategic priorities through robust processes and trusted partnerships.

You will bring extensive experience in facilities and financial planning within a complex higher education setting, with keen analytical and relationship skills

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in operational and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and business performance.
• Strong understanding of the tertiary education sector or similarly complex environments.
• Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Faculty’s budget and operational performance.
• Provide high-quality financial and operational advice to the Dean and senior leaders.
• Review and streamline processes to support delivery of the Faculty’s priorities.
• Collaborate with the Dean and senior leaders to support operational and strategic priorities.
