Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Facility Support Coordinator at West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre in Henderson. This on-site, full-time role involves supporting day-to-day operations and building strong links with customers and the community.

You will promote our programmes and ensure records and reporting are up to date, working in a fast-paced environment with a flexible roster. Shift patterns include early mornings, late nights and weekends as needed.

Facility Support Coordinator | West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre

West Wave is one of Auckland’s largest and most popular aquatic and leisure facilities, serving a diverse and active community in West Auckland. With a wave pool, hydroslides, fitness facilities, and a wide range of programmes and events, no two days are the same.

We're looking for a Facility Support Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of this vibrant and fast-paced centre.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide administration support across multiple teams within the centre.
• Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the local community.
• Promote our programmes, services, and facilities to help Aucklanders get active their way.
• Ensure records, reporting, and operational processes are accurate and up to date.

This is an on-site, permanent full-time role working 40 hours, Monday to Friday.

Please note that the shift is subject to change according to the roster and the needs of the centre, so flexibility is essential.The ability to work flexible hours including late nights, early mornings and weekends would be advantangous.

You’ll bring:

• Excellent communication skills and confidence working across multiple teams.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Sound problem-solving skills and the confidence to use initiative and professional judgement.
• Experience preparing and presenting reports
• Experience using computer systems and Microsoft Office, with administration or booking coordination experience being advantageous.

Pay rate: $60 - 65K

(Our employer KiwiSaver contribution is in addition to the base salary offered.)
