Job summary

Health New Zealand, Wellington Regional Hospital, seeks a dynamic FACEM to join the busy Emergency Department team. You will provide high-quality care to both adult and paediatric patients, supervise trainees, and help manage ED flow in a tertiary centre.

Qualifications

• Vocationally registered in Emergency Medicine with MCNZ.
• FACEM or equivalent qualification and eligible for MCNZ registration.
• Fellowship (or eligibility) of ACEM.
• Competence in Emergency point-of-care ultrasound.
• Willingness to participate in rotating roster including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic, timely, high-quality care in the Emergency Department.
• Supervise Trainee Interns, House Officers and Registrars.
• Assist with patient flow and disposition from the ED.
• Contribute to ED Observation Unit assessments and management.
• Maintain up-to-date medical knowledge and skills.
