Job summary

Dolphin Encounter Kaikoura is seeking energetic hospitality professionals to join our beachfront cafe team. Ideal candidates have barista experience and a passion for great customer service, with the ability to work flexible daytime hours seven days a week.

Roles can be full-time or part-time, with permanent or fixed-term options. Applicants should be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months, be legally able to work in NZ, and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Hospitality professional with energy and enthusiasm.
• Barista experience preferred for cafe tasks.
• Must be fluent in English and legally able to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Serve cafe customers with friendly, efficient service.
• Support cafe team during daytime shifts and peak periods.
• Contribute to a welcoming beachfront site and flexible roster arrangements.

Do you love wildlife and love coffee? Do you want to work in a beachfront location with views of the mountains and the pacific ocean and swim with dolphins on your days off?

We are looking for hospitality professionals with bags of energy, enthusiasm and experience!

Ideally competent baristas, with a few years’ experience in a similar environment the right applicants will be warm and friendly, with a passion for great customer service.

More than a Cafe; our site is a beachfront tourist hub that includes a retail store, meetings venue and Dolphin and Albatross Encounter tour operations.Our Cafe team often take the opportunity to swim with dolphins when they aren't rostered!

We are open 7 days, daytime hours. Shifts are flexible and vary to meet business demand. We are flexible and have both part time or full time and permanent or fixed term options available.

We have a variety of contract durations available from shorter to longer terms. Applicants for these positions should be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months, be able to legally work in NZ, and be fluent in English.
