Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Balclutha is inviting expressions of interest for Team Members in meat processing. The site offers on-the-job training with a minimum of NZD 28.82 per hour and extras, typically 40 hours per week during peak season with overtime options.

Overtime rate starts at NZD 43 per hour. Shifts run 6am–4pm or 4pm–12:30am, with safety gear provided and no prior experience required. Applicants must be 18+, pass pre-employment checks, and be eligible to work in New Zealand.

Our Silver Fern Farms Finegand Processing Site in Balclutha employs 1200+ Team Members at the height of the season. The site is located 5 mins from Balclutha, 30 minutes south of Milton, an hour east of Gore, and an hour south of Dunedin. There is bus transport available from Dunedin to Finegand for most shifts.
