Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Finegand Processing Site in Balclutha is hiring for production roles to support peak-season operations. On-the-job training is provided, with pay starting at 28.82 NZD per hour plus extras and overtime opportunities.

Typical shifts run 6am–4pm or 4pm–12:30am, usually around 40 hours per week during peak production, with overtime. All safety gear is supplied, and opportunities exist to progress into quality control, health and safety, and leadership roles.

Job description

Our Silver Fern Farms Finegand Processing Site in Balclutha employs 1200+ Team Members at the height of the season. The site is located 5 mins from Balclutha, 30 minutes south of Milton, an hour east of Gore, and an hour south of Dunedin. There is bus transport available from Dunedin to Finegand for most shifts.

Te Mahi, Our Working Arrangements

• Complete your on-the-job training and earn a minimum $28.82/hr plus extras.
• Usually, 40 hours per week during peak production season, plus overtime opportunities.
• Minimum $43/hr production overtime rate.
• 8-hour sh ifts, day shifts and evening shifts times vary from 6am to 4.00pm, and 4.00pm to 12.30am.
• All work clo thing and safety gear is provided.

• No experience? No problem, we provide all the training you need
• You’re an active team member who can work closely with others and bring a positive, hardworking attitude.
• Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
• Must be 18 years or older to meet audit requirements.
• Able to pass our pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions check, and physical fitness requirements.
