Job summary

Roading and Building Recruitment is seeking Experienced Painters for their Dunedin team. This hands-on role covers maintenance, renovation and upgrade work across residential and commercial settings, with long-term client contracts.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team, bring a NZ certificate in painting and decorating, and contribute quality workmanship with strong communication and safety focus. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate or equivalent in Painting and Decorating.
• Minimum 3 years painting experience.
• Experience with roller, brush, paper hanging and sprayer.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of modern coating systems and surface prep.
• Full NZ driver's licence and working rights in NZ (no sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on painting across maintenance, renovation and upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on long-term contracts.
• Ensure high quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

THE GIG: Our client is a global leader in integrated facilities management and project delivery services. Supporting clients across a variety of sectors, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Their Dunedin based team are currently looking for Experienced Painters to join their ranks. This is a hands-on role supporting maintenance, renovation, and upgrade projects across both residential and commercial environments - working directly with a multi-disciplinary team on long-term, meaningful client contracts.

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• A trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (NZ Certificate or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of painting experience
• Experience in Roller, Brush, Paper Hanging, and Sprayer would be beneficial, but not a deal breaker
• Strong communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Knowledge of modern coating systems and surface preparation methods
• Full New Zealand Driver's Licence
• Have full working rights to work in New Zealand (No sponsorship available)
