Fulton Hogan Ltd in Ashburton is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to support a portable crushing plant. You will operate a Volvo loader, manage stockpiling, and assist with loading trucks, while prioritising safety and quality.

You will work with modern equipment, participate in daily checks, and collaborate with the team to meet customer needs across Ashburton and Canterbury. A Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements is essential.

Qualifications

• A full Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements.
• Experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence with modern plant.
• Flexibility to work away from home when required.
• Experience in the mining or quarrying industry would be advantageous.
• A proactive approach to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders and other machinery to load the crusher plant, manage stockpiling, and occasionally load trucks.
• Carry out daily machine checks and help monitor and maintain the portable crushing plant.
• Deliver safe, high-quality work on time and to a high standard.
• Build positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Support the team across Ashburton and surrounding areas as required.
