Job summary

Precision Group, a Wellington-based family company, is seeking an experienced Labourer to support our Drainage team on residential and commercial sites. You will assist drainlayers, dig trenches, backfill, keep sites tidy and safe, and perform general labouring duties.

Must have a current NZ Driver's Licence, be physically fit, and have NZ work rights. This is a full-time on-site role with a supportive team and opportunities for upskilling.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Driver's Licence is required.
• Physically fit for manual labour and outdoors in all weather.
• Reliable, hardworking, with pride in your work.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to site rules.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team and independently.
• NZ work rights (Citizens, Residents, and open work visa holders welcome).

Responsibilities

• Assist drainlayers with installation, repair and maintenance of drainage systems.
• Dig, prepare and backfill trenches; handle pipes and materials on site.
• Help keep sites clean, tidy and safe for the crew.
• Carry out general labouring duties across residential and commercial projects.
• Work safely and professionally, representing Precision Group to clients.

What you'll do

Who we're looking for

Essential:

• Current NZ Driver's Licence

Preferred (not required - we'll consider you without these)

• Previous labouring experience in drainage, civil or general construction
• Experience operating small plant or machinery
