Job summary

Lanzhou Beef Noodle Ltd in Mt Eden, Auckland is hiring two cooks to prepare and cook our Chinese dishes, with guaranteed hours of 30 per week, but you will normally be required to work around 40 hours.

The role involves seasoning during preparation, monitoring quality at all stages, assisting in improving dishes, helping manage kitchen operations, ordering supplies, and ensuring hygiene and safety regulations are followed. Weekend work may be required and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years of work experience in cooking Chinese Cuisine is needed.
• A relevant certificate can replace the required work experience.
• Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
• You may be required to work during the weekend.
• You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hand is thoroughly clean.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant
• Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary
• Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation
• Assisting in improving dishes
• Assisting in managing the overall operation of kitchen
