Job summary

Northland Toyota in Whangārei is seeking two experienced Automotive Technicians to join our service team. You will service, diagnose and repair vehicles to Toyota standards in a modern, purpose-built workshop.

This permanent role offers 40 hours per week, with Monday to Friday and rostered Saturdays, based in Whangārei with some local travel within Northland. NZD 30–38 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Sound mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Current NZ driver''s licence or convertible from overseas.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and inspection of vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using current diagnostic tools and software.
• Carrying out repairs across engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, air-conditioning and cooling systems.
• Reprogramming and updating vehicle control modules (e.g., PCM, TCM, ABS, BCM).
• Completing job cards and check sheets accurately, and recommending further repairs where needed.
• Following workshop health and safety procedures.
• Delivering quality workmanship and clear communication to support customers.
