Job summary

Northland Toyota in Whangarei is seeking an Automotive Service Technician and Mechanic to join our busy Service Department. This hands-on role supports the technicians and helps keep the workshop running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, good time management, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a full driver’s license for both manual and automatic vehicles. Weekend work is required per roster.

About The Role

• This hands-on position requires someone with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Transporting service customers when required.
• Your responsibilities will include: Assisting technicians as needed.
• Cleaning and detailing vehicles.
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained.
• Carry out general duties as directed by the Workshop Controller and Service Manager to support the smooth operation of the workshop.

What We’re Looking For

• A Full Driver’s License (must be confident driving both manual & automatic vehicles).
• A strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills and reliability.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for weekend work as per roster.
