Job summary

UniLodge Canterbury is seeking a calm, reliable Night Coordinator to join our night operations team. This entry role focuses on after-hours resident support, property checks and incident response across University Hall, Ilam Apartments and Dovedale Halls.

You will be based mainly at University Hall with occasional travel between halls, delivering a safe and reassuring presence during evenings and overnights and contributing to a respectful student community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel between halls.
• Strong written communication and incident documentation.
• Good judgement, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with the delivery of safe and effective after-hours operations.
• Act as an approachable point of contact for residents during the evening and overnight period.
• Respond to resident enquiries, lockouts, noise concerns and other after-hours matters.
• Provide initial support when a resident is experiencing a wellbeing concern.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, following established procedures and escalation pathways.
• Support positive student behaviour and respectful community expectations.
• Complete regular internal and external property checks.
• Assist with after-hours arrivals, check-ins and customer service enquiries.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of incidents, interactions and call-outs.
• Complete agreed reception, administrative and operational tasks.
• Communicate clear handovers to the Night Managers.
• Participate in emergency responses during rostered hours.
• Travel between halls when required.
