Job summary

Stellar Recruitment AU and NZ is partnering with a well-established civil contractor in South Auckland and North Waikato. An opportunity now exists for an experienced Civil Estimator to join the team and take full ownership of the estimating side of the business.

You'll manage tenders from initial review to final submission, price projects independently, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and prepare polished tender submissions for drainage and civil works.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience delivering civil projects in an estimating capacity.
• Confident pricing work independently with a strong understanding of how projects are actually delivered on the ground.
• Ability to produce polished, client-ready tender submissions without requiring substantial review.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable dealing directly with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing tenders from initial review through to final submission.
• Pricing projects independently and compiling completed tender packages to a high standard.
• Coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing packages.
• Preparing accurate estimates across drainage and civil works.
• Supporting bid strategy development and post-tender reviews.
• Working closely with business leadership on the commercial side of the tendering process.
