Job summary

Randstad Digital New Zealand seeks a Financial Controller to take ownership of technical accounting operations, reporting to the Head of Finance. Lead the finance team, manage the General Ledger, tax compliance, month-end close and audits, and partner with production and sales to optimise costing and inventory valuation.

This is a greenfield-style opportunity with global backing and local autonomy, offering a competitive package and on-site parking at a modern Auckland facility.

Qualifications

• Solid NZ financial and team leadership experience in large-scale FMCG or manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting with CA/CPA qualification.
• Experience owning General Ledger, month-end, tax and audits; SAP familiarity.

The Role

• Lead daily accounting operations and manage a dedicated finance team, ensuring a high-performing and cohesive environment.
• Take absolute, hands-on ownership of the General Ledger, local IRD tax compliance, month-end processes, and external audit relationships.
• Partner across production and sales departments to optimise product costing models, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Act as a key operational bridge between local New Zealand execution and global headquarters, driving the digitalisation of financial workflows.

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting alongside recognised professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA).
