Job summary

Delta Corporation in Cromwell is seeking an Environmental Labourer to join our outdoor maintenance team. The role covers upkeep of amenity turf, gardens, cemeteries, playgrounds, sportsfields, irrigation, litter collection and other CODC assets.

You will operate wide area ride-on mowers, perform weed eating and spraying, and carry out basic mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment to keep sites safe and presentable.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and a current, clean full Class 1 driver licence; W, T and R endorsements would be advantageous.
• A demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
• Dedication to completing every job to a high standard and in line with contract requirements.
• A courteous and respectful manner when interacting with the public.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work reliably with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work the hours required to meet operational needs.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and meet agreed timeframes.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operating wide area ride-on mowers, weed eating, spraying, and general grounds maintenance.
• Carrying out basic mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment.
