You will handle matters under the Resource Management Act, infrastructure and development projects, plan changes, designations, and public law of local government; opportunity to mentor juniors and lead regional/national projects, contributing to growth.
We are excited to be working alongside this eminent firm to orchestrate a search for a Senior Lawyer at the Associate or Senior Associate level to take a seat in their Auckland-based office within the Environmental, Planning, and Local Government division.
As a leading national firm, our client has earned recognition as a coveted 5-star employer of choice. Boasting an excellent, top-tier working environment and culture, this firm is one to be envious of.
This presents an excellent prospect to work on environmental, planning and local government matters, including work under the Resource Management Act, infrastructure and development projects, plan changes, designations, consenting processes, and public law aspects of local government decision-making.
Beyond this, the opportunity to contribute to the firm's growth strategies ensures an exciting trajectory for progression and personal development. The role offers scope to take ownership of matters, contribute strategically to projects of regional and national significance, and mentor and support more junior members of the team.
This position is best suited for those with 4-8 years PQE coupled with a profound acumen in environmental, planning, and/or local government law. You will need to exude confidence and professionalism, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to succeed in this role.
Along with a senior role assumes the opportunity to train and mentor junior solicitors so strong management skills and experience will be highly valued but not a prequisite.
In return you'll get a first-class career opportunity, a highly competitive salary package, and an environment where you will be challenged (and be given the tools) to learn and improve.
