Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking environmental engineers to train and evaluate AI models on topics like water and wastewater treatment, air quality, and hazardous waste remediation. This fully remote, flexible contract role lets you work 10–40 hours per week on your own schedule.

You will design advanced engineering challenges, author detailed ground-truth solutions, and audit AI outputs for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Strong writing skills and domain knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (env-focused), or related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in aquatic chemistry, wastewater design, air quality engineering, or hazardous waste remediation.
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing.
• Detail-oriented with eye for unit conversions, equations, and regulatory logic.

Responsibilities

• Design complex engineering problems for AI training across contaminant transport, mass balance, hydrology, and LCA.
• Author ground-truth solutions with step-by-step calculations and benchmark answers for AI training.
• Audit AI outputs for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance (EPA, ISO 14001).
• Refine AI reasoning with structured feedback to improve model performance.
