Alignerr is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert (AI Training) to work remotely as a freelance contractor. You will craft advanced problems in FEA, heat transfer, and materials, and develop ground-truth solutions to benchmark AI reasoning.

You should hold a Master's or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering and have strong fundamentals. The role offers a flexible schedule with 10–40 hours per week and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written communication of complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced engineering problems in FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, and materials to stress-test AI performance.
• Author rigorous, step-by-step solutions as benchmarks for AI learning.
• Audit AI reasoning, including CAD logic and material specifications, for accuracy and safety.
• Identify and fix reasoning failures and provide actionable feedback.
• Work independently and asynchronously on a flexible schedule.
