Job summary
HEB Construction seeks an Environmental Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover to champion environmental management across our infrastructure projects in New Zealand. You will work with the Environmental Regional Partner and project teams to ensure regulatory compliance and effective environmental outcomes.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a similar advisory role, knowledge of NZ environmental legislation, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset to drive improvements
Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in an environmental advisory role within construction.
- Knowledge of New Zealand environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with project teams and stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach to drive environmental outcomes across projects.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams to meet environmental and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain Environmental Management Plans and documentation.
- Conduct monitoring, inspections and audits for compliance.
- Investigate environmental incidents and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide environmental input into planning and delivery of projects.
- Deliver training and promote environmental best practice across projects.
