Job summary

HEB Construction is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our Picton team, supporting a major marine infrastructure project in New Zealand's Marlborough region. You'll ensure projects comply with environmental requirements, develop plans, monitor water quality, and engage with stakeholders.

With at least 2 years in environmental advisory within construction, you will bring knowledge of NZ environmental legislation, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to drive best practice

Qualifications

• A qualification in an environmental-related field (preferred).
• 2+ years' experience in environmental advisory or similar role within construction or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of New Zealand environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and management of project environmental requirements
• Develop and maintain Environmental Management Plans
• Undertake environmental monitoring and water quality sampling
• Assist with compliance reporting and consent condition management
• Carry out environmental inspections, audits and field reviews
• Deliver toolbox talks and environmental briefings to project teams
• Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work alongside Marine Mammal Observers and environmental specialists as required
• Champion environmental awareness and best practice across the project

What you'll be doing:

What we're looking for

You will bring:
