Job summary

Department of Conservation in Wellington is seeking an experienced Enterprise Business Process Lead to drive enterprise-wide process management for conservation outcomes and operational excellence. You will define framework, governance and standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives with cross-team collaboration.

The role requires coaching and building capability in process management, plus ability to monitor performance and use data to guide priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise-wide business process management, including process design, mapping and optimisation.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, BPM and Agile, and process modelling notations such as BPMN.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, standards and ways of working within a large, complex organisation.
• Experience leading organisational change and building capability in process management.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain DOC's enterprise business process framework, standards and governance model.
• Establish consistent methods, tools and templates for process design, documentation and management.
• Build organisational capability in process management through coaching, mentoring and training.
• Monitor and report on process performance, using data and insights to inform improvement priorities.
• Partner with teams across DOC to support consistent and effective process management practices.
• Build strong relationships across DOC and with external partners and agencies.
