Job summary

BNZ is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to shape how the bank defines its data and information standards. Based in Auckland, you will own the enterprise semantic model and governance, aligning data products with AI and analytics goals.

The role sits in Tech Strategy & Architecture and is a 12‑month fixed-term engagement. You will partner across data, risk, and business teams to drive modernisation efforts, establish stewardship models, and ensure consistent definitions across

Qualifications

• Experience establishing an enterprise information model and governance.
• Strong knowledge of semantic modelling, ontologies and data standards.
• Proven ability to partner with data, risk and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish BNZ’s enterprise information model and semantic layer with governance.
• Lead enterprise architecture rituals, planning and KPIs.
• Support Data Modernisation with governed data definitions.
• Collaborate with Customer Master Core Banking architects on shared concepts.
• Drive AI governance alignment and trusted definitions for AI adoption.
