G. Low Surveying – Waitakere, North Island
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Survey Technician to join our growing surveying team in Auckland.
The role combines field and office work across a range of projects, including topographical, engineering and cadastral surveys, construction set-out and as-built surveys.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake topographical, engineering, cadastral, construction set-out and as-built surveys.
- Operate and maintain GNSS receivers, total stations, digital levels and other survey equipment.
- Collect, process and check survey data and prepare survey plans and related deliverables.
- Prepare survey plans, drawings, calculations, reports and other deliverables.
- Support subdivision, land development, infrastructure and construction projects.
- Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Comply with company policies, health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
About you:
- Background or qualification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics or a related field.
- Good Mandarin communication skills are preferred, as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and project stakeholders.
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply; previous surveying experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Practical experience with GNSS and total stations.
- Good understanding of survey data collection and processing.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must hold a full New Zealand driver licence.
