As an Engineering Manager at Alsco Uniforms, you'll lead a small maintenance team within a busy industrial laundry plant, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and reliably. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. As part of the Heads of Departments team, you'll play a key role in plant performance and operational success. We now have a position available for an Engineering Manager suitably qualified in mechanical or electric trade to lead our small engineering team in our Richmond branch.

Lead and support the engineering maintenance team
Oversee preventative maintenance programs
Troubleshoot and resolve plant equipment issues
Ensure optimal performance of production machinery
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in management and HOD team activities
Good communication and organisational skills
Maintain compliance with health and safety standards
Provide hands-on support when required

You would ideally have these desired skills:
Experience in engineering management or team leadership
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
Hands-on experience in industrial environments
Understanding of steam operations (preferred)
Good communication and organisational skills
Computer literacy and reporting capability
