Qualifications

• Ability to work legally in NZ (residency or valid work visa).

Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the contract team.

Job description

Role Title: Cadetship Civil Engineering - Earn while you learn!

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for a keen individual with a team player attitude to join our Nelson whānau as a Civil Engineer Cadet. This role is designed in a way that engages and motivates the cadet to reach their potential. We offer the opportunity to study, develop relevant skills and gain work experience at the same time. This is a fantastic opportunity for a school leaver.

This cadetship is a four-year programme.

You bring the drive, and we will support you with all the experience you will need to kick start your career in the construction industry.

Over the four-year programme you will be assisting our teams and tasks will include:

• General administrative support to the contract team
• Asset and data management
• Gather information and produce detailed estimates for construction
• Administer and report on contract related material; work under direct supervision

• Participate in ongoing training and development and study towards a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil)

You will have a variety in the work you’ll learn to complete. On top of all that you’ll also be exposed to some other pretty cool parts of our business such as getting to know the heavy machinery we use, regional construction work to support our community and learning all about health and safety!

• The ability to work legally in NZ which may include NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
