Fulton Hogan Ltd in Auckland is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead day-to-day project engineering and site delivery within our Contracting team. You will support the Project Manager to safely and efficiently deliver high-quality civil works, both on site and in the office.

The role requires strong leadership, a solid background in roading or civil construction, and a focus on safety, quality and on-time delivery. NZ civil regulation knowledge and commercial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (NZQF 7/8)
• 5+ years’ experience delivering mid to large-scale roading or civil construction projects
• Knowledge of New Zealand civil construction legislation and site practices
• Strong leadership and commercial acumen to manage risk, cost and productivity

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in the successful execution and delivery of civil construction projects
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the project site, monitoring progress and resolving issues to keep works on track
• Champion Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, ensuring pre-starts are completed and risks are managed
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including programmes, cost estimates and records, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Drive continuous improvement and provide technical expertise as needed
