Job summary

Queenstown Lakes District Council is seeking a Team Leader to manage the Engineering Acceptance, Subdivision Inspections and Road Corridor activities within the RM Engineering team. You will lead a skilled team, ensure high-quality engineering reporting, and deliver work within agreed timeframes while maintaining strong customer service and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You will bring a tertiary civil engineering or surveying qualification and 8+ years of experience,

Qualifications

• Must hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Surveying.
• Eligible for professional membership is required.
• Strong leadership and delivery-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of Engineering Acceptance, Subdivision Inspections and Road Corridor activities.
• Provide people leadership and technical oversight across the team.
• Review and sign off Engineering Acceptance reporting and complex subdivision matters.
• Identify and manage engineering-related risks and maintain high quality standards.
