Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora in Christchurch is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit. The role involves caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, working within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Shifts are Mon-Fri with start times 7:30am–9:30am, with on-call rosters after hours. We have flexible FTE options (from 0.6 to 1.0) including fixed-term 0.8FTE, and permanent roles available.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APC.
• Recent acute medical or surgical nursing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional endoscopy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe patient care.
• Participate in after-hours on-call roster as required.
• Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy GI endoscopy setting.
