Job summary

Madison Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects from concept to delivery in Takanini, NZ. You will manage multiple stormwater, wastewater and infrastructure initiatives, coordinating clients, consultants and field teams.

This hands-on role demands ownership from pricing and tendering through delivery, handover and ongoing client support, with a focus on safety, quality and value creation for the client.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (Level 7 or equivalent) is required.
• 4+ years’ experience within civil construction, infrastructure, utilities or a related sector in New Zealand.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, consultants and site teams.
• Commercially minded with experience in estimating, pricing, procurement or contract administration.
• Practical, proactive and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil infrastructure projects from estimate to completion.
• Prepare quotations, estimates and tender submissions.
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment and labour.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage project budgets, progress claims and variations.
• Oversee project quality, documentation and handovers.
• Identify new business opportunities and support company growth.
• Ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
