Job summary

Presbyterian Support East Coast is seeking an enthusiastic Support Worker to join the disability support services team in Taradale, Napier. You will provide creative and social support, personal care, and assist with daily living activities within clients’ homes and communities.

We value compassionate teamwork, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to ongoing training; suitable applicants may pursue a Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support is preferable.

Responsibilities

• You will deliver support in line with each person's individualised care plan.
• You will use a hoist safely.
• You will assist with personal care and administration of medicines.
• You will travel for out-of-town meetings or activities.
• You will complete household tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• You will be a liaison between flatters and their whanau and other groups.
• You will keep accurate records of the support provided.
• You will maintain a safe, clean and functional home environment.
