Job summary

Air New Zealand is looking for HR Advisors with ER experience to join our ER & Advisory team. You will partner closely with leaders, HRBPs and unions to navigate complex people matters with confidence, balancing commercial outcomes, employee experience and risk through practical, people-centered advice.

You will provide timely ER support across a wide range of matters, help strengthen ER capability with coaching, and contribute to evolving HR practices including AI-enabled approaches.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' experience in a generalist HR or advisory role, or equivalent experience.
• Strong employee relations capability with sound judgement in complex situations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, coaching mindset with an appetite to learn about AI in HR.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical and consistent partnership across a broad range of ER matters, including misconduct incidents.
• Partner with leaders and unions to navigate complex people matters, helping informed decisions while managing risk.
• Coaching and developing leaders; deliver workshops to uplift ER capability across work areas.
• Support leaders, unions and people partners with changes to new ways of working with our People model.
• Contribute to improving and embedding ER processes, systems, tools and ways of working.
