Job summary

Gallagher in Hamilton, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Electronics Testing Engineer who will design and build production test systems that improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

You will work closely with R&D, NPI and Electronics Manufacturing, ensuring new products are functional, testable, scalable, and production-ready.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to influence testing processes on the factory floor and contribute to safety and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years work experience.
• Strong electronics testing experience in production or similar roles.
• Clear fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high‑quality production test fixtures and equipment.
• Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams to support new product introduction.
• Ensure all test equipment meets safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Provide responsive factory support to resolve test system issues and maintain production targets.
• Record and manage fixture updates, script changes, and ECN documentation.
• Liaise with external suppliers for parts and servicing test equipment.
• Maintain safe, organized working environments aligned with 6S principles.
• Contribute ideas that drive continuous improvement in testing processes and systems.
