Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the New Ventures team in New Zealand. You will contribute advanced technical expertise across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and circuit design through to prototyping, testing, validation, and production implementation.

In a hands-on role, you will design robust electronic solutions, solve complex technical challenges, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products for

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a related qualification.
• 5+ years' experience in a product development or R&D environment.
• Proven experience developing commercial electronic products.
• Strong analogue and digital electronics design capability.
• Experience with PCB CAD and electronics design tools.
• Understanding of EMC compliance and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electronic faults.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic circuit solutions for new and existing products.
• Develop prototypes and support products from concept through production.
• Conduct testing, validation, and root-cause analysis to ensure product performance.
• Ensure designs comply with EMC, electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support technical reviews and contribute to engineering decision-making.
• Collaborate with Product, Software, Manufacturing, Procurement, and NPI teams.
• Build relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
• Mentor and develop fellow engineers.
