Job summary

Brightwater Engineering in Auckland is seeking an Electrical Services Manager to lead the Auckland Electrical team. This role drives growth, oversees day-to-day operations, health and safety, procurement, quality, and people supervision across a range of electrical projects.

The successful candidate will have NZ registration, 5+ years as an industrial electrician, proven team leadership, and a track record in sales development and client relations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a qualified industrial electrician.
• Actively pursue sales and business development opportunities to increase client retention or win new clients.
• Proven ability to achieve strong commercial outcomes through project delivery and client relationships.
• Strong practical knowledge of health and safety in high-risk work environments.
• Ability to plan and execute electrical engineering jobbing work and projects from a contractor perspective.
• Effective planning and communication skills; able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to generate sales opportunities and grow the electrical business.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth in the Electrical business and lead day-to-day operations of the electrical team.
• Ensure health and safety, procurement, quality, and people supervision across projects.
• Develop client relationships and secure ongoing and new business opportunities.
• Mentor and support apprentices and develop high-performing teams.
• Coordinate site-based work and travel as required; relocate candidates if needed.

We are looking for a capable person to join our Auckland Electrical team as an Electrical Services Manager. This position will drive growth in our Electrical business and be responsible for the day to day running of the electrical team, driving health and safety, commercial and financial outcomes, procurement, quality, and people supervision across a range of electrical projects.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• 5+ years' experience as a qualified industrial electrician, proven track record leading and developing high performance teams
• Actively pursue sales and business development opportunities and implement strategies for increasing client retention and/or seeking out new clients
• Proven ability to gain strong commercial outcomes through the course of a project with the ability to strengthen client relationships

• Effective planning and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment are essential
