Job summary

Brightwater Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Supervisor to lead on-site electrical work across industrial projects in Auckland. This role focuses on installation, maintenance and delivering safe, high-quality outcomes with a strong emphasis on team leadership and coordination.

Qualified NZ Electrician with 5+ years of industrial experience, HV capability, and a robust safety mindset will thrive in a hands-on, travel-ready position with Brightwater’s growing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a qualified industrial electrician with leadership of high-performance teams.
• Proven ability to supervise and run site jobs, manage resources on site including labour, materials and equipment.
• Industrial experience essential; HV experience required.
• Predominantly Auckland-based but willing to travel for site work.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and practical problem solving on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site electrical project work including installation and maintenance.
• Lead multi-discipline teams across construction projects.
• Manage resources on site: labour, materials and equipment to meet schedule and quality goals.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures.

Brightwater Engineering – Auckland, North Island

We are looking for Senior Electrical Supervisors that excel at working on industrial sites and understand the dynamics of working within a project/construction team. Our Electrical team manage the execution of all on-site electrical project work including installation and maintenance. Working on a broad range of activities you will work closely with other in-house project delivery and engineering disciplines including mechanical and civil trades along with Electrical Engineers and Project Managers.

What We’re Looking For

New Zealand registered Electrician, with current practicing licence

5+ years’ experience as a qualified industrial electrician, proven track record leading high performance teams

Proven ability to supervise and run site jobs, manage resources on site including labour, materials and equipment

Industrial Experience a must have. HV experience a must have.

Predominately Auckland based but prepared to travel for site based work

Demonstrated practical knowledge of health and safety

Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve onsite as required

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Strength both technically and practically to execute and deliver project, installation and maintenance work to the expectation of all stakeholders

Hold a current NZ driver’s licence
