Job summary

Ventia is seeking 12 Electrical Fitters to join our Christchurch team, working in a high-voltage substation environment with maintenance, installation and commissioning tasks on transformers, circuit breakers, voltage/current transformers, protection relays, battery banks, and LV electrical work. This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week.

Applicants must hold the EWRB and current practising license, NZ Class 1 Driver’s Licence, and have 5+ years in HV electrical industry; NZ

Qualifications

• EWRB license and current practising license.
• NZ Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
• 5+ years in high voltage electrical industry.
• NZ registration as Electrician or eligible to gain NZ registration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate strong health and safety practices in the HV industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, installation and commissioning of transformers, circuit breakers, voltage transformers, current transformers, protection relays, battery banks and LV electrical work.

About The Role

Ventia is on the hunt for 12 Electrical Fitter's to join our awesome team of legends in Christchurch.

In this role, you will be part of a growing team of dedicated and highly skilled staff, working in a high-voltage substation environment. The work is varied and will range from maintenance, installation and commissioning transformers, circuit breakers, voltage transformers, current transformers, protection relays, battery banks and LV electrical work.

This is a full time permanent position, 40 hours per week.

About You

• EWRB and current practising license
• A Full Clean NZ Class 1 Driver’s License
• A minimum of 5+ years experience in the High Voltage electrical industry
• Certified Electrician with NZ registration or eligible to gain NZ registration
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate high levels of understanding of and adherence to the Health and Safety practices and regulations of the High Voltage Industry
