Job summary

Omexom in Mt Wellington, Auckland, is seeking an Estimator with extensive electrical sector experience to lead tendering and estimating across commercial, industrial, infrastructure and maintenance projects. You will develop accurate cost estimates, tender programmes, project schedules, risk assessments and pricing strategies while identifying value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in electrical estimating across commercial, industrial, infrastructure and maintenance projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, standards, contracting procedures and contract law.
Experience reviewing drawings, specs and schedules for quantity take-offs and scope reviews.

Responsibilities

Managing tender processes, including bid/no-bid assessments and pricing submissions.
Preparing detailed cost estimates, cashflows and project schedules.
Identifying risks, assumptions and qualifications and incorporating these into pricing.
Developing bid strategies and value engineering solutions.
Preparing expressions of interest and tender submission documents.
Supporting successful project handovers to delivery teams.
Building relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and standards.
